Most surprising about the viral dance craze the #GitUpChallenge is how it has touched every demographic. Age, race and gender don't make a difference when you're being swept up by Blanco Brown and his dance steps — even police officers are getting into it!

This video is a mashup of several of the best police officer Git Up Challenge videos. One or two might have been ordered to do their department proud by sliding to the left and right, but most butterfly and cowboy boogie because they're feeling it! The Pasco Sheriffs Department in New Port Richey, Fla., have been especially big advocates of Blanco Brown, especially after spending some time with the man himself.

"The Git Up" is the debut country single from Brown, who had experience in the hip-hop world previously. A music video featuring his Broken Bow Records labelmate Lainey Wilson has gathered nearly 10 million views since May, and the song has consistently been atop the Hot Country Songs chart despite little radio airplay.

Brown's label admits they released the song a little earlier than expected in hopes of  capitalizing on the success of Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road." Needless to say, it worked. Here are the original videos found in the above compilation video of hot cops doing the Git Up Challenge:

The #GitUpChallenge hashtag on Twitter and Instagram features hundreds of videos of people doing the dance solo or in groups. Where as "Old Town Road" seems to be a divisive song in country circles thus receiving no airplay despite having Billy Ray Cyrus on board, the playful, positive message of "The Git Up" is proving to be more palatable to programmers. Currently "The Git Up" sits at No. 49 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
