Highly Traveled Road Closed Until End of November

Driving in the Rockford area just got a bit more tricky. You will need extra time if you travel Bell School Road. Here's where the construction zone is. 

South Bell School Road will be closed from Ivory Lane, just north of Mill Road all the way to Walton Street. There is traffic signals posted and the work to complete the transition to 4 lanes begins this Columbus Day Monday, October 12, in the early morning hours.

According to WIFR TV23, "The closure starts Monday Morning and is expected to be closed through the end of November. Once the road is finished, it will be four lanes".

Drivers will have to use Perryville Road, and others for the next few weeks.

My tip is be patient in this area. It will be mess.
