What Is Hangry Joe's?

Many fried chicken lovers are still crying in their empty chicken buckets about the closing of all KFC locations in the Rockford area, BUT now they have a reason to smile again...Hangry Joe's is opening soon in Rockford!

If you're not already familiar with Hangry Joe's, here's the most important thing you need to know; this isn't your average chicken joint.

Hangry Joe's specializes in "authentic Nashville Hot Chicken", and one of their spice choices is so hot you have to sign a waiver when you order it! (FYI, it's called "Angry Hot" and features ghost peppers).

When Will Hangry Joe's Open in Rockford?

Rockford's new Hangry Joe's is located at  6150 E State Street, (in between Sketchers and Crumbl Cookies), and will officially open its doors to the public on Thursday, September 5 at 11 a.m.

Hangry Joe's Grand Opening event page says;

Drumroll, please! Hangry Joe's Rockford, IL is officially flapping its wings wide open!  Get ready to dive into the ultimate hot chicken sensation and satisfy your cravings like never before. But that's not all! As a special treat, we're giving away some EPIC prizes to the first 100 chicken enthusiasts in line.

"Epic" prizes? Surely that has to include some free food and Hangry Joe's swag, right? I guess we'll just have to show up early on September 5 to find out!
