Your generosity will make Christmas magical for so many children in Winnebago County. Here is a quick recap and some favorite moments from the toy drive.

Here are a few pictures I was able to take during the day full of giving and generosity.

These singers were absolutely amazing. Their sound gave you chills in the best way possible.

They brought cinnamon rolls for breakfast, which were gone in about 5 seconds. They also brought delicious potato soup and fantastic chili. Mmm!

Q98.5's Chip Messner

I hadn't heard Chip Messner sing until the toy drive but I was glad it finally happened. His voice is delightful and it made for great music while beginning to stack the early toy donations.

It was great to have 13 WREX at the toy drive from start to finish, teaming up with Q98.5 to collect toys for the children of Winnebago County. Here was fun moment with Sean Muserallo and Kristin Crowley.

Mo Pitney

I haven't met anyone in country music that is more genuine and caring than Mo Pitney. There was a lot going on - a lot, but Mo took time to talk to everyone that approached him. He even gave songwriting advice to Sophia, Rockford's biggest country music fan.

There's an official recap coming soon but I just want to thank everyone who donated toys, money, and their time. We collected over 6,000 toys and about $5,000 in monetary donations. Thank you to Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, 1st Northern Credit Union,  Illinois Machine Shed, Papa John's, Pepsi, Santa Claus, Village Green, Walgreens, WREX, Salvation Army, Mo Pitney, an everyone that made the 12 Hours of Salvation Army Toy Drive successful.
