Free Dog Show in Dekalb This Weekend

Dogs are taking over the NIU Convocation center this weekend.

The Kennel Club of Yorkville is hosting it's annual dog shows. The shows will feature three obedience trials & two junior showmanship competitions this Saturday and Sunday at the NIU Convocation Center on the campus of NIU.

The Daily Chronicle reports that more than 800 dogs have been entered in the two-day event.

The show is free and open to the public. If you go, keep in mind that visitors to the NIU Convocation Center are required to pay a parking fee to the university.

The show will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
