I don't know about you, but I didn't really leave my house last weekend due to snow and ice that rolled through. Last weekend's winter storm may have flopped a little, but I'm not sure we'll be able to say the same for the weather this weekend.

A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for the Stateline at 2 p.m. today, and local meteorologists are all calling for a nasty wintry mix of fun over the next 24 hours.

Honestly, just the thought of spending another whole weekend locked in my home has me feeling a little stir crazy, so I must know if I'll ever be able to break out.

The US National Weather Service in Chicago has worked out a timeline of when the weather will hit, when it will be the worst, and when it's expected to switch over to a wintry mix in our area, and I think it will help us plan our weekend to-do lists a little better.

Gotta say, I'm not loving what I'm seeing there. Guess I'll be cleaning out more closets this weekend, because it's also expected to get stupid cold on Sunday. Like 20 below zero stupid cold. Plan accordingly.
