Enjoy Rockefeller Center-Style Fun In Rockford This Winter

You don't need to travel to NYC for Rockefeller Center because a national travel blog says we've got a similar experience available right here in Rockford.

It's true, according to a national travel blog, Eclipse Lagoon at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens is one the twelve best winter ice rinks in the United States. Though it might not be frozen enough to skate on at this moment, its cost to skate and surrounding beauty are the key reasons Rockford made Matador Network's list.

The frozen-over Eclipse Lagoon is surrounded by the lush vegetation of the garden, and though it doesn’t offer skate rentals, if you bring your own the rink is free to use for skating or, on the north part of the lagoon, ice hockey.

Mystateline.com says some of the other ice rinks included in the article are found in Redding, California, Beaver Creek, Colorado, and Yosemite National Park. What a great list of cities to share a list with.
