The 59th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show runs this Saturday and Sunday, August 19 and 20, and it's going to kick off with a death-defying stunt from former Chicago Cubs catcher, David Ross.

I love me some Grandpa Rossy, but I can't help but wonder if he's lost his darn mind after reading this on the City of Chicago's website;

Former Chicago Cubs catcher, David Ross will open the Chicago Air and Water Show on Saturday, August 19, by tandem jumping with the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights. He will touch down in front of the Boat House at North Avenue Beach after the show opens at 10am

The Chicago Air and Water show is free to attend and will also feature performances from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels,  the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs and many other military and civilian aerial demonstrations along the lakefront. Follow the action and learn more on the Chicago Air and Water Show's Facebook page.
