How Culver’s Is Helping Illinois Farmers With a Sweet One-Day Event
If there’s one thing I will never say no to, it’s frozen custard from Culver's, especially when it comes with a side of doing something good for the community.
Luckily, that is exactly what is happening at Culver's restaurants throughout Illinois and Wisconsin on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The Importance of the FFA
Growing up in Rockford, I knew nothing about organizations like 4-H and the FFA (Future Farmers of America) until my family moved to Pecatonica four years ago.
Now we're friends with several farming families, and I've realized how beneficial these organizations are for kids and young adults.
The FFA teaches today's youth leadership and career skills through hands-on learning and agriculture education, which is a benefit for many career paths beyond farming.
Some of the most successful, respectful, and intelligent young adults I know are present and former FFA members, so I love to support this organization every chance I get... especially when it involves Culver's custard!
Culver's 'Scoops Of Thanks' Day
In case you were unaware, Culver’s isn’t just about ButterBurgers and delicious custard.
Since 2013, Culver's Thank You Farmers Project has raised millions to support ag education, local food programs, and future farmers throughout Illinois and beyond, and Scoops of Thanks Day is a big part of that effort.
On Thursday, May 7, Culver's restaurants throughout Illinois and Wisconsin will be giving away free scoops of their Blue Barn Brownie custard in exchange for a $1 donation to local FFA chapters.
If your kids are anything like mine, they'll be begging to stop at Culver's when you pick them up from school or practice tomorrow, so now you have the perfect reason to be hero that says "yes"!
