It might be considered putting the cart before the billy goat, or just plain bad luck, but what the heck, let's talk Cubs Post season playoffs.

As of today, the Cubs magic number stands at 25 and it's only August 24th and the regular season doesn't end until Oct 2nd, but it sure looks like the Northsiders are destined to make the playoffs and clinch very early, barring a catastrophe.

With that in mind, here's how the post season schedule would look like, assuming the Cubs retain their best in MLB record heading into the playoffs.

NLDS (Round 1)

  • Game 2: Saturday 10/10 (WRIGLEY)
  • Game 3: Monday 10/12
  • Game 4: Tuesday 10/13
  • Game 5: Thursday 10/15 (WRIGLEY, if needed)

  • Game 1: Saturday 10/17 (WRIGLEY)
  • Game 2: Sunday 10/18 (WRIGLEY)
  • Game 3: Tuesday 10/20
  • Game 4: Wednesday 10/21
  • Game 5: Thursday 10/22 ( if needed )
  • Game 6: Saturday 10/24 (WRIGLEY, if needed)
  • Game 7: Sunday 10/25 (WRIGLEY, if needed)

World Series

  • Game 1: Tuesday 10/27
