If you've recently cleaned out your clothes closet, like I did this past weekend, I'm betting you have bags of clothes in your garage, basement, or attic that you need to take get out of your house.

Well bring them to the clothing drive this Saturday.

Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful is holding their summer clothing drive this Saturday, July 11th at participating Schnucks parking lots from 9am - 2pm.

Items collected include: men's, women's, children's clothing - wearable or not - and shoes, hates, belts, purses, soft-sided luggage, throw rugs, curtains, stuffed toys, sheets, blankets and towels. Volunteers will greet cars and load trucks with donated items.

The donation locations include:

— Belvidere Township Offices, 8200 Fairgrounds Road, Belvidere

—  The Cherry Valley Schnucks at 2206 Barnes Boulevard

— Loves Park Schnucks at 1810 Harlem Road

— All five Rockford Schnucks: 3134 11th Street; 2642 Charles Street; 6410 East State Street; 2601 North Mulford Road; 3150 North Rockton Avenue.

— Roscoe Schnucks at 4860 Hononegah Road.

K.N.I.B.'s Executive Director, Lori Gummow, told WREX News that " the donated items that are well worn or torn can be repurposed in to fiberfill, insulation, wiping rags. So virtually 90 to 95 percent of everything we collect will either be reworn or repurposed in some way."
