We now know the locations involved with Chipotle's data breach that happened between the end of March and mid-April. Three locations in northern Illinois and southern Illinois were affected.

Chipotle released more information regarding the "Payment Card Security Incident" that happened from March 26 - April 18, 2017, affecting two restaurants in Illinois and one in Wisconsin

According to Chipotle's corporate website, their locations in Rockford, Machesney Park, and Janesville, were all affected in the recent data breach. The "Payment Card Security Incident" The Mexican Grill recommends getting a free credit report to look for possible fraudulent activity and/or  placing a security freeze on your credit file.

If customers have questions regarding this incident, you can call 888-738-0534 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. EDT, or Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EDT.

It's always a good idea to pay close attention to your bank and credit card accounts on a daily basis and reporting any unusual activity immediately. Also, cash is king - it's accepted nearly everywhere and keeps your accounts safe.
