One of the finest cities in America has done it again: Chicago has been named the Best Big City in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler for an incredible ninth consecutive year.

@cntraveler on Instagram says:

... it's truly no wonder it tops the list again: a world-class destination known for its impressive architecture, first-rate museums, brilliant chefs, and massive brewing scene, it'll take several repeat visits to get through your list of must-dos. Most people start downtown—from the Magnificent Mile to the ritzy Gold Coast to funky Old Town—but there are 77 neighborhoods to explore, where you'll find cutting-edge restaurants, chilled-out corner bars, and, no matter where you go, some of the most pleasant people you'll find anywhere.

Why Chicago Keeps Winning

Chicago's mix of grit, beauty, and warmth continues to set it apart. It's a city that feels big but lives small, with neighborhoods that each tell their own story. From downtown skyscrapers to corner taverns and lakeside parks, they're alive and welcoming for every resident and visitor.

I'll forever love this city and defend it. The people in Chicago are hardworking and blue-collar, much like those in many other cities and states in the Midwest.

A Personal Connection

My parents met in Chicago. I was born on the North Side and lived there until my family moved to a small rural community just after I graduated from high school. These days, I visit the city as often as I can, sharing the same Windy City experiences I grew up with alongside my wife and kids.

Don't ever change, Chicago. Based on the nine straight years as the best big city in America, much hasn't, and probably won't, anytime soon.
