Full disclosure, I do not know if today's Pet of the Week from Winnebago County Animal Services was named "Kane" after beloved Chicago Blackhawks player Patrick Kane, but that is what I am going with.

Kane may not be good on the ice like his namesake, but he is super lovable and he LOVES to play! Here's what Amber Pinnon, Adoption and Volunteer Program Coordinator for Winnebago County Animal Services had to say about Kane;

A spunky boy with lots of love to give!

Our friend Kane is working extra hard here at the shelter so someone will adopt him! At three-years-old, Kane is excited to learn! His favorite things are peanut butter stuffed Kongs, and big rope toys. Kane is enthusiastic about meeting new people, but he knows he needs to work on his manners.

Here at the shelter, we have noticed that Kane has a zest for life that translates into high energy and jumpiness. We don't hold it against him, though. He tries his best and listens pretty well when we tell him not to jump up. He loves to be outside and meet new people! His biggest frustration seems to be being locked up in his kennel and not getting the personal attention of a home he craves for. Kane is in need of an active and patient forever home. One with lots of time for training and even more time for love.

Will you be Kane's forever family?

So...will you? Kane's adoption fee is $110, and he is impatiently waiting to meet you now at Winnebago County Animal Services. To make the adoption process even quicker, make sure you fill out an application in advance at wcasrock.org.
