Illinois Town Hosting Carnival For All Families To Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend

If your Memorial Day weekend plans are not set in stone this will be a great time for all members of your family. Heck, invite friends and their families and plan a trip together.

Not only are you guaranteed to have a good time but you'll be helping great community partners as well.

Byron Fire Association, in Byron, Illinois, hosts an annual carnival to raise money for great causes like $1,000 scholarships for four (4) graduating seniors from Byron High School, Santa visits throughout the community on Christmas Eve, local Cub Scouts, and so much more.

WHERE AND WHEN?

The Kickoff To Summer carnival is hosted at and around Byron Fire Protection District, at 123 Franklin Street, from May 27-29, 2022.

There will be plenty of rides for all ages to enjoy. In fact, this might be the year I finally put on my brave pants and try out the one I've been avoiding for decades, the Zipper.

Which rides will be in Byron, Illinois this weekend?

The classic Ferris wheel, which is perfect for a chill bird's eye view

The Baha, for the littles.

Downdraft, not too scary but still thrilling.

A Funhouse, another classic.

The Zipper, which I will conquer.

Elephants, which is an easy ride that can also be thrilling... unless you don't like spinning in circles while spinning in circles.

Zero Gravity! Do NOT go on this ride with a belly full of food. I've witnessed what can happen and you don't want to see that.

The Beebob, my daughter's favorite.

The Remix, which is exciting.

And, another classic favorite, the giant slide.
