Rockford beer lovers are not going to like the news I am about to share, but I still feel it is my duty to share it with you.

GR815 Beer Fest is a super fun and thirst-quenching event that usually takes place in May at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit and organizers decided to postpone the event until August 15th, which also happens to be 815 celebration day in Rockford, so it made total sense to move it to that date.

Sure, we'd have to wait a little longer to taste all these stellar brews on display from local breweries, but it would be the worth the wait...it's only a few months, right?

Wrong.

Honestly, we should have known this announcement would be coming from the BMO Harris Bank Center, and I totally understand and support the decision made, but...it's still a bummer.

As far as upcoming events at the BMO Harris Bank Center, the only thing still on the schedule for the next few months is WWE Live, which has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2020.

All events at the Coronado Performing Arts Center have been cancelled, postponed or rescheduled. To stay up to date on events and refunds, please go to thebmoharrisbankcenter.com.

I guess we'll all just to have to continue to take advantage of the craft brew carryouts available right now from Rockford-area breweries so we can officially drink away 2020, the year of suck.
