Animals at any zoo can come in all different sizes. The Summerfield Zoo in Belvidere just received a small animal that can fit in the palm of your hand.

According to our news partner WTVO, the Belvidere Zoo is now home to an endngered monkey called the Cotton Top Tamarians. The specie is one of the most endangered in the world.

What makes this monkey so unique is that is only weighs one or two pounds. They can fit in the palm of your hand. Here is what a typical one looks like.

There are only one to five thousand left in the world. The reason why the monkey is becoming endangered is because of the removal of the forest in Colombia.

If you want to see this special animal, there will be a special viewing this Saturday and Sunday at the Summerfield Zoo. It will be open from 10 AM to  5 PM Saturday and 11 AM till 4 PM Sunday.
