If you've bought apples recently, you may want to check the bag to make sure they aren't from a Traverse City, Michigan facility. According to WTVO, North Bay Produce Inc. is voluntarily recalling 2,297 cases of apples and two bulk bins. The bags and individual items are all pictured on North Bay Produce here.

Apples that are being recalled:

  • Honeycrisp
  • Jonathan
  • McIntosh
  • Fuji
  • Red Delicious
  • Jonamac

The apples were shipped between Oct. 16th and Oct. 21st in plastic bags under the Great Lakes and North Bay Produce Pure Michigan label. Their were some sold for individual sale as well.

Listeria primarily affects pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Find the symptoms here.

Anyone with recalled apples can return them to where they bought them for a full refund.
