Your next chance to be the hero our community is counting on you to be, is Friday, September 18th, from 12 noon - 5 p.m..

Since the pandemic threw us all into quarantine five months ago, Rockford City First Church has been there to serve Stateline families' needs. Thousands of area families were able to put food on the table due to the tireless work of the church, their volunteer team and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

City First Church is hosting another event to help restore lives, this Friday afternoon. The Rock River Valley Blood Center will be at the church (5950 Spring Creek Rd.) from 12 noon - 5 p.m. taking blood donations. As the church shared in the Instagram post below, you have to contact the Blood Center to schedule an appointment. You can call 815-965-8751, or click here to schedule your donation time on September 18th.

If you've never donated blood before, you should take a moment to get better acquainted with the process. Visit the Rock River Valley Blood Center's website.
