It's been a minute since we've been able to have furry cuties to love up on in the studio thanks to COVID-19, but that doesn't mean there aren't a whole bunch of them waiting for their furever homes at Winnebago County Animal Services.

Adorable fur babies just like today's Pet of the Week, Jewel!

Amber Pinnon, the new Adoption and Volunteer Coordinator for Winnebago County Animal Services, said this about Jewel in an email sent to me;

Meet Jewel! This queen was brought to the humane society as a surrender, due to no fault of her own! After spending a sometime making some human friends at the shelter, she is ready to start a search for her forever home.

She is an all-around sweetheart who just needs some time to adjust to her new surroundings. She likes her alone time and can easily entertain herself with a comfy bed and a toy or two. However, when she wants to cuddle, she will cuddle you for hours. She can be a little shy with new people, but once she gets to know you, she warms right up. She greatly enjoys being groomed, pet, and chilling on your lap. Does Jewel sounds like a good fit for you? Meet her at Winnebago Co. Animal Services!

If you're interested in adopting Jewel today, please fill out your adoption application in advance at wcasrock.org or call 815-319-4100 for more information.
