It's hard to forget the 150 animal hoarding situation that was found in Freeport this past March, and thankfully, over 50 of these animals have already been adopted. Unfortunately, about 40 sweet souls are still waiting for their forever homes, and many are young dogs with plenty of love to give.

I just checked out the Stephenson County Animal Shelter's facebook page and took a look at pictures of the dogs still available for adoption, and my heart broke a little. Such sweet faces who desperately deserve and need a home to call their own. I'm guessing most of these dogs have no idea what love is about, or what it's like to be a part of a family. Let's change that for them now!

The adoption fee for these dogs is $50 which includes rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm tests, and wormings. Adoption applications can be picked up at the Freeport Animal Hospital at 321 E South St. in Freeport, Illinois or email klaue@co.stephenson.il.us and one can be sent to you.

We won't stop until they all go home!
