I know what you're thinking. You're wondering why I couldn't have found these ideas a few months earlier when you were busy planning how to spend your summer vacations. I feel the same way, but better late than never, right?

I am fresh off my latest staycation, and although we did spend some time at our family cabin in Wisconsin for the first part, there truly is "no place like home."

Here's a few pics that sum up pretty well what I was up to last week. The first one in particular, is perfect.

I really live on the wild side, don't ya think?

We were lazy, spent a lot of time together, and enjoyed every single minute. However, this was not the original plan for vacation. My husband and I thought taking a week in early September to get all kinds of outdoor projects finished was a genius plan. We were gonna do a bunch of landscaping, put in an invisible fence for our dogs, and do a lot of outdoor family outings. Then Mother Nature messed it all up.

The moral of my story is this: Have a vacation back up plan, and keep these tips handy to help with your "plan B."

Enjoy!
