WI Veterinarian Says Not to Panic If Your Pet Has Marks Like This

In the summer my family, and my dogs, spend a lot of time up in Wisconsin. While at the cabin my dogs love basking in the shade of the woods, and more times than I can count, I have found scary looking red blotches all over my dogs' underbellies when we got home.

After seeing these red blotches I haven ran my dogs straight to the vet nearly crying because I was sure they had Lymes disease now, and then the vet tells me, calm down they are just Black Fly bites. Oh. Great. Thanks.
