Where There's Smoke There's Weed In Rockford

Rockford police make drug bust after smelling marijuana in pulled over vehicle.

Once again, I get to pull a story out of the "Dumb Crime" category.

"Rockford Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon speaking to the driver, they could smell an odor of burnt cannabis coming from the vehicle. During a search, officers found a handgun and crack. Passengers of the car were arrested."

There is a reason why the prisons are full. Criminals are not smart.

By no means am I condoning illegal activity, but what the heck were they thinking? If you are breaking the law, like smoking pot in your car. Don't speed around town. It's just attracting attention to yourself.

Just remember, intelligent people, don't end up on the news.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
