Walk Into Rockford Walmart Today and Get Your COVID-19 Vaccine
I am here to tell you that as of last week, I am fully vaccinated.
Now here comes the part where I tell you, originally, I really didn't want to get vaccinated.
My hesitations about getting the COVID-19 vaccine didn't stem from a fear that they aren't safe or that the government would be microchipping me, it was purely personal/selfish. By personal I mean, my body typically reacts hardcore to vaccinations and I hate feeling sick.
I knew full well going in that the likelihood that I would feel like garbage for 24 hours after each shot was very high, but I rolled up my sleeves anyway. Why? I didn't do it because the government was telling me to get the shot. I didn't do it because I am a "sheep". I did it because I wanted to protect the people I love most and will not fare well if they got COVID-19. I did it so my kids could hug their grandparents again which they haven't done in over a year.
I get that you might have your own set of reasons for why you won't get the vaccine, and I am not telling you those reasons are wrong. I also will not tell you that you have to get the shot. I am simply telling you the reason why I did, even though I really didn't want to.
