I seems just like just a few days ago we we're strolling around downtown Water Street and Market Streets taking in the warm weather, the music and the shopping at the Rockford City Market.

It's a summer ritual that each year has been attracting more and more Rockford and Stateline residents to downtown Rockford on Friday evenings. A fun family activity that turns Rockford into a small town, at least for a few hours on a Friday evening.

If you slept through the summer, Here's what you missed:

  • Streets lined with local growers and vendors selling veggies and other unique items
  • Lots of live music
  • Demonstrations
  • Kids activities

Let's relive the 2016 Rockord City Market.

If you didn't make it downtown in 2016, make plans to go in 2017. The 2017 Calendar has not been published yet, but count on things kicking in mid-May.

The Rockford City Market runs on Fridays from 3:30 - 8:30 p.m. May, June, July and August. 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. in September, after Labor Day.
