Unbelievably Restored 163-yr-old Million Dollar Wisconsin Farmhouse
Not one detail was missed in giving this very old farmhouse new life. A couple new buildings added and a connecting underground tunnel, too.
Cedarburg, Wisconsin in a gorgeous little city just north of Milwaukee. It's so fitting that there's a very old farmhouse like this one for sale, just outside the downtown area.
Residents of Cedarburg take great pride in their history. The city is home to eight listings on the National Register of Historic Places and this 163-year-old house could certainly be another one.
Originally built in 1858, this brick farmhouse has been through some absolutely stunning renovations. To see something of this age so exquisitely updated is a real treat.
At W65N733 Saint John Avenue, you'll find a great respect paid to the farmhouse's authentic details. There's so much beauty in the chestnut plank floors, wood-beamed ceilings, the original smokehouse and summer kitchen, stone outbuildings and the landscaping. Two timber framed barns have been added, the large of which, is connected to the main house by a heated underground tunnel.
I've tried looking for photos of that tunnel and didn't have any luck, but take a look at these.
