Life on the road is tough, and today's Pet of the Week from Winnebago County Animal Services has seen enough trouble to last a lifetime.

It is impossible to know the history of a stray cat brought into any animal shelter, but in the case of Bailey, his troubled past showed all over his face when he arrived at the WCAS in need of help.

Here's what Amber Pinnon, Adoption & Volunteer Program Coordinator for Winnebago County Animal Services, had to say about tough little Bailey;

Hi, my name is Bailey. From the looks of it, I have been traveling tom cat for quite some time. I have some battle scars and my face was a little beat up when I first arrived. I was picked up from a kind stranger and brought to WCAS. Here, I've decided my days of traveling are over and I'm looking for a nice home to call my own. I'm pretty sweet and enjoy a good snuggle. If you're interested in what I have to offer (me, I'm pitching myself), please stop by Winnebago County Animal Services and take a look!

According to WCAS's website, Bailey is about six years old and totally ready to go home with you today for the low adoption fee of $40. You can streamline the adoption process by filling out an adoption application now at wcasrock.org.

Bailey isn't the only awesome cat waiting for a furever home at Winnebago County Animal Services right now. Here's some more cool cats available for adoption that can't wait to meet you today...

(FYI, there are also several kittens available for adoption at the Pet Smart on 173 that aren't featured in this galley see their pics at wcasrock.org)
