I think it's safe to say we all have our own set of summer traditions we look forward to doing or going to each year, and I'm pretty sure 2020 robbed us of most of them. Thankfully 2021 is a new chapter, and it is way more open for summer fun!

Memorial Day weekend is often considered the unofficial kickoff to summer, and it also happens to be the season opener for one of our favorite local summertime traditions, the Ski Broncs Water Ski Show Team!

After being land-bound in 2020, the Ski Broncs are ready to ride the waves of the Rock River once again, and they've got a couple of new things they'd like to show off. Besides their smooth moves and impressive water acrobatics, the Ski Broncs have a brand new logo too...

It was always a little perplexing that they were called the Rockford Ski Broncs when they technically call Loves Park their home, so I guess this was an obvious and needed change.

Now, for the good stuff...

The Ski Broncs Water Ski Show Team will kick off their regular 2021 season this Friday, May 28, at Shorewood Park starting at 7 p.m. The rest of the summer shows will take place every Wednesday and Friday night (weather permitting) at 7 p.m. Please make a point to bring the family out to see the show and to support the Ski Broncs every way you can!

One last thing, if you love to ski or know someone who does, the Ski Broncs would love to have you join their show team! Here's how you can get involved...

Lucky for us, ppening night of the Ski Broncs Water Ski Show Team isn't the only thing happening this holiday weekend in the Rockford area. Here's some more fun things to add to your to-do list...

(If you know of other Memorial Day weekend events happening in the 815 that we are missing, please let us know about them by sending a message on the Q98.5 app!)
