The Golden Knights will be dropping in on the NIU Huskies right before their homecoming game.

October 13th, is Homecoming for the NIU Huskies. As as part of their celebration they will be paid a visit from the US Army's Golden Knights. (Rochelle News Leader)

In recognition of NIU's ROTC 50th anniversary on campus, the Golden Knights will be parachuting over Huskie Stadium field and landing on the field at 2:30 with the official game ball.

Before the Golden Knights take to the skies, Huskie fans will be greeted by the NIU Alumi Association and handed fun "giveaways, popcorn and bottled water from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Alumni Village in The Yard."

Also, Mission the huskies Mascot will be on hand for "photos from noon until 1 p.m. "

Their will also be performances from the NIU Marching Band, the Silverettes, and Color Guard before the game.

Kids can have fun in the Kids Zone, that will have a "bounce house, football toss game, obstacle course and bubble ball."
