What to do with the cold and snow in the Stateline? Hold a sculpting competition! The 29th Annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition is a GO and begins this Wednesday, Jan 14 in Sinnissippi Park. Here are more details.

This is a great, free, family-friendly event to check out 1401 N. Second Street in Rockford, Illinois January 14-17, 2015.  The right amount of snow fell just in time. With the cold, it is sure to keep things secure for the week for the artists to work their magic.

I have seen past years and all I can say is 'incredible'. You won't believe your eyes at the finished projects. Just a side note, make sure you have a camera.  Good luck to all of the local high school teams competing too.

See ya there.
