The rain will be lasting well into the weekend.

Many of us have talked about how we need rain in Missouri and Illinois. Perhaps in the future we should be careful what we wish for as 3 different areas were hammered with more than 6 inches of moisture which caused lots of flooding.

Last week, we saw historic rainfall and flooding in the St. Louis, Missouri area. This week, it's Illinois. Some parts of the state on Tuesday had over a foot of rain recorded.

Sometimes you see things while driving that your friends and family will only believe if you catch them on video.

The wet weather trend in Rockford continues and worst yet it appears to be impeding the unofficial start to summer.
