One of the biggest high school football rivalries in the area will be raising money for a great cause during tonight's game.

Often in Byron there are Stillman Valley folks at one of the grocery stores, at the salon, or at a restaurant. Tigers and Cardinals are usually separated by water, but on nights like tonight, it's much different. Tonight the Stillman Valley Cardinals come to town to take on the Byron Tigers in the ultimate small-town high school football rivalry. But, despite the competitiveness, there's a chance for both sides to help out a great cause.

According to MyStateline.com,

That game has been designated by the IHSFCA (Illinois High School Football Coaches Association) as a fundraiser for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The cheerleaders and some younger football players will be taking donations during the varsity game Friday evening.

Donations can be made in cash or with a check. Gme time is 7pm in Byron.
