Strong Winds Causing Power Outages in the Stateline [Map]

The high winds we are experiencing are causing power outages all throughout the Stateline.ComEd is reporting a large concentration of outages in Northern Illinois.The largest concentration is in Rockford where ComEd estimates over 50 outages in the Rockford area leaving 1897 customers without power.

Outages are also being reported in:

• Freeport
• Belvidere
• DeKalb
• Woodstock

The High winds will remain with us until this evening. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Advisory for the Rockford Area until 8:00 p.m. tonight.

The City Of DeKalb reports high winds have downed a tree and interrupted power to City traffic signals at Route 38 and Castle Drive and Route 38 and Normal Road.

ComEd also reports that crews are aware of the outages and are working to restore power.
