It's pretty common to see storm chasers and meteorologists get up and close with hurricanes, just show they can show how crazy they (and the storm) are. KSAT's Justin Horne was doing so, and almost didn't live to tell the tale.


"That's not good," he said, "We're going to get out of the way of that," just as the video he shared ended. It's safe to assume he needed to check his pants.

I don't know why weather people do this. Not one decent person is going to complain if we don’t get a shot of a reporter standing in the middle of a Category 4 hurricane, yelling into a microphone, and risking their life just to show it’s raining. Yeah, we know it’s raining. Go inside like everyone else, dumbass.
