The truck driver responsible for the death of an Illinois State Trooper faces three charges related to death.

Several news media outlets are reporting 55-year-old Craig Dittmar, of Stockton, has been arrested and is facing charges related to the tragic death of ISP Trooper Brooke Jones-Story. MyStateline.com lists the charge against Dittmar as "two counts of Reckless Homicide, and one count of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Fatigued Causing Death."

According to the Illinois State Police, Jones-Story was inspecting a semi on US 20 westbound, just west of Illinois Route 75 when, at 12:20 p.m, she was struck while outside of her squad car.

Craig W. Dittmar is currently being held at Stephenson County Jail with a $250,000 bond.

Officer Brooke Jones-Story, 34, was killed last month when Dittmar's semi-trailer struck her and her squad car while she was inspecting another semi on the side of US 20 near Freeport.
