Please allow me a few minutes to get real here and tell you about the man that you and I have spent our mornings with for over two years now, JB Love.

I'm still mad at JB Love for leaving me, but at the same time I have huge respect for the reasoning behind his decision.

You see, JB Love is one of the most "radio" people I know. He loves the business. He loves sharing stories and being as real as he can when doing so. He respects the power and importance of radio, and he even geeks out over the technical aspect of it. He was made to be on-air, and he has decided to switch to the sales side of things solely to provide a better life for his family. Any person willing to walk away from their "dream job" for the ones they love always gets the upmost respect from me.

JB Love and I started out in this business at the same time, and in this very same building. We pretty much rose through the ranks and "grew up" in radio together. His career has took him to different cities and different experiences, and mine has always been at home here at Q98.5, but when he returned "home" to 3901 Brendenwood Rd. in November of 2016, it only made sense that we should do this morning thing together.

JB Love may be the younger, annoying brother that I have to keep in line and get mad at on the daily, but I am ever so thankful for the time and the laughs that we have shared together.

JB, thank you for teaching me more than anyone else I have ever worked with. Thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and forcing me to be real. Thank you for always telling it like it is and for your constant devotion to being genuine. Your realness is refreshing and so very rare in this business.

JB, no matter how many middle finger emojis I may have sent you in the past, you always have been, and always will be, appreciated by me.

I have no doubt that you will succeed in this new venture, but I may, or may not be, betting 4 months in the office pool for when you will return to the airwaves full time.

All kidding aside, working with you these last couple of years has been a pleasure. I have never laughed more, experienced more weird things, or peed my pants more at work than I have with you. I truly feel like I am a better broadcaster because of you, and I will be forever thankful.

Here's a few of my favorite moments that I could actually find preserved forever on social media...
