It may only be September right now, but I am 100 percent chomping at the bit for the magic and beauty of the holiday season to get here!

Two of the biggest things that make me happy in life are spending time with my family, and decorating my home for the the holidays. Having my home covered in twinkling white lights and Christmas trees makes my heart fill with joy, and I'm already counting the days until it will be "acceptable" to begin decorating!

Every holiday season my family likes to fill thermoses with hot cocoa, throw on our jammies, and hop in our van to drive around looking at Christmas lights. Sometimes our holiday light drives keep us close to home, and sometimes we like to venture further.

This year I predict our holiday light drive tradition will take us all the way to Grayslake, Illinois to check out this massive light show called "Santa's Rock n Lights".

'Santa's Rock n Lights' Is Coming to Illinois

Santa's Rock n Lights isn't your average Christmas lights display. This is a one-of-a-kind, drive-thru experience that boasts over a mile of synchronized lights dancing to your favorite holiday tunes. We're talking everything from Santas playing guitars to peacocks and dinosaurs!

Santa's Rock n Lights has been rocking around the Christmas tree for years and prides itself in being "Chicago's #1 Longest Running Drive Thru Light Show Synchronized to Music". While that slogan may be a mouthful, the experience itself is sure to  delight your entire family.
