Rules of the Road; When to Stop for School Buses

Local schools will be back in session soon, and that means school buses will be returning to the road ways. I recently saw a picture that made me realize a refresher on Illinois traffic laws regarding school buses is probably a good idea for all of us.

I am embarrassed to admit that I had forgotten (or never knew) what to do in a multi-lane school bus situation, so this graphic was an eye-opener for me. Of course I had to jump on Google to learn more, and here's what I found from the Illinois State Board of Education through the Illinois State Police website: School Bus Safety: What Motorists Should Know.
