By now Rockford Public School parents have had to make the choice between in-person or remote learning for their students this school year. The hard choice may have been made, but that does not mean the regret, stress and worry has gone away.

It doesn't matter what school district your child is in, the one thing that unites us all is that this upcoming school year will look drastically different.

Both of my daughters will be attending in-person classes this year, and I know that we need to prepare them for all the different things they will see and experience when school is back in session. I truly feel preparation is key to avoid them freaking out and hating school this year, but I have no idea where to start. I then decided to reach out to my oldest daughter's principal, Mrs. Timm at Cherry Valley Elementary School, for some help getting a few of our biggest questions answered. I hope this information helps you as much as it helped me...

Thank you, Mrs. Timm for calming a few of our biggest fears when it comes to school this year.

No matter what back-to-school choice you made this year, just remember, the choice YOU made is the RIGHT choice for your family. Make peace with it, and do your best to rock it. It's going to be ok Mom and Dad, we just need to be strong and stay committed. This will all be over soon...right?!?
