You don't have to be in school to partake in a summer reading program.

Summer reading programs were great. I remember walking up to North Suburban Library to report my readings every week and seeing my progress grow on the wall. I got a couple of Pizza Hut pizzas out of the whole thing. The reading kept me quiet and busy for a few hours a week. It was a win/win for everyone.

Jump into a summer reading program with your kids this year. There's no better way to get your child into reading than to show them reading yourself. Emily from the Rockford Public Library joined the show today to let us know all the details.
