Corey 'Overtime' Anderson makes a shocking move and leaves the UFC to sign with Bellator MMA.

Anderson did have more fights on his contract with UFC but was granted a release last week before he signed with Bellator. Anderson's manager Ali Abdelaziz told ufc.com:

This was a mutual, respectful decision between Corey and UFC. I’d like to thank everyone involved. The whole deal took less than two hours to get done.”

During Corey Anderson's time in the UFC, he was the light-heavyweight winner of The Ultime Fighter Season 19. He went 10-5 in his UFC pro career, including big wins over Johnny Walker, Glover Teixeira, along with one over Blachowicz in their first spar.

The latest go against Blachowicz, Anderson suffered a head injury which left him unable to return to the octagon. He was also quarantined for COVID-19, but after all of that has since been cleared to fight.
