Rockton Kid Competing For The Best Mullet In America

Nothing says "U.S.A." better than a good old mullet.

This time, the mullet wearer is anything but old.

It's business in the front, and party in the back for Rockton resident, Noah Smith.

The 12-year-old middle school student tells week.com "In fourth or fifth grade I started and I had a rat tail and in sixth grade, I cut that off and just started the mullet."

Now Smith and his fabulous haircut are hoping to go all the way, in the USA Mullet Championships. This is the first year of competition and Smith and his fantastically dubbed "Freedom Flapper" are already in the top 10.

Smith has some serious competition in the finals, including a one-year-old from Tennesse named Archie who is rockin' a Tennessee Top Hat mullet. Voting is now closed and according to MulletChamp.com, results should be announced this week.

Whether you rock the classic, vintage, or the new hipster mullet, you've got to admit you're rooting for the local kid to take top prize in this competition.
