If you're a big fan of Chili's you have until September 18th to order all your favorite foods before the menu takes a cut.

Chili's including, the Rockford and Machesney Park locations, announced that they're going to overhaul their menu.

CBSDFW reports that the Dallas, TX based restaurant chain is cutting back on their menu offerings by 40% to focus on serving a better quality of food to their patrons.

So if they're cutting back the selections by 40% how many items will be left? The restaurant will offer 75 core or main menu items. Chili's days that it's "promising a return to “its roots” by making this cut.

They will then spend their efforts in improving the remaining food items. the restaurant apologizes that some other favorites will be leaving their menu, but are "committed to do a better job of serving our famous food on every visit."

The new improved and smaller menu will go into effect on September 18th.

A couple of items that were mentioned that will no longer be available after the 18th are the Mango Chili Tilapia and the Crispy Asparagus appetizer.

The items that for sure will remain are the burgers, beer, margaritas which started the chains success along with the later added and fan favorites of fajitas and baby back ribs. They are the most popular and will not be removed from the menu.
