The positive Rockford news keeps rolling in, and this time the Coronado Performing Arts Center is getting all the glory.

In 2017 the Coronado sold a record number of tickets, which in turn landed them on Pollstar's "Year End Worldwide 2017 Ticket Sales Top 200 Theatre Venues List." How awesome is that?!?!

The Coronado may have made the list by the skin of their teeth coming in at #198, but this is still a MAJOR accomplishment for Rockford and something to celebrate! Why, because this could be the key we need to get bigger acts to come to our fine city.

Craig Thomas, Chairman of the Rockford Area Venues Entertainment Association, a.k.a. RAVE, recently told the Rockford Register Star;

This is the kind of gold star publication that people in this industry look at, so we’re very excited that the Coronado’s reputation is out there and enhanced,” Thomas said. “We want new artists, agents and promoters to take a chance and come to the Coronado and this (Pollstar ranking) is a critical component of that.”

Big congratulations to the Coronado, RAVE, and the city of Rockford for earning another title we can be proud of. Let's keep the momentum going for 2018.
