I am not a coffee drinker at all, so needless to say, this caught me eye (and my sweet tooth).

I have never had  reason to got to Starbucks, until, now. Starbucks has announced it will be adding ice cream to it's menu at select reserve bar locations.

Yahoo News is reporting that Starbucks will add ice cream to their menu at over 100 stores nationwide. The cool delight will roll out in.

  • Los Angeles
  • Boston
  • Washington, DC.
  • Chicago (at 10 locations)

It's ice cream with an espresso shot. Of course, expect to pay Starbucks prices for the cold treats.  The concoction will be known as an Affogato, which is an Italian treat that is created by pouring a shot of espresso on top of a scoop of ice cream.

  • Classic Affogato for $6
  • Cold malt brew  for $8.50 Cold Brew Malt, made with small-lot cold brew, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate bitters

Hmmm, I may have to give this a try. I have had a $15.00 gift card that was given to me as a present a couple years ago, that I might have to break out and give a try.

The addition of ice cream is on a trial basis, for now, and no Stateline locations will serving it yet, but if it is successful that ice cream will expand to all Starbucks worldwide.
