If you've read every book in your house, and you need the feel of a physical book in your hands and not an electronic version, the Rockford Public Library has a new option available for you.

Here's the situation in my house right now, if the kids can't play outside, they are bored. We've done crafts, we've baked a ton of stuff, we've read all their books several times over, we've watched dang near every kids movie on Netflix and Hulu. I'm running of options and f's to give on limiting their screen time. Normally when the kids get bored, we make a stop at the library. My kids love picking out books and movies to bring home, but obviously we can't do that right now.

We might not be able to physically peruse the library shelves anytime soon, but we can do the next best thing; peruse them online and then physically pick them up at the Rockford Public Library...

Here's another note for struggling parents with young children, the Rockford Public Library has a ton of virtual entertainment available on their Facebook. They have Online Storytimes available for viewing all the time, and they have "Virtual Lunch & Learn" events featuring a variety of fascinating subjects for all ages, and you don't need a library card to take advantage of them.

For the past few weeks I have been looking for eBooks to check out through the library, and not surprisingly, many of the titles I have wanted have already been checked out. For that reason alone I am thankful the Rockford Public Library is offering this new drive-up option. Mama needs some new books to read...and the kids do too!

Check out the massive list of titles available for check out now, go to rockfordpubliclibrary.org.
