When there isn't a whole lot going on, books will help you get through some of the more boring moments.

While I don't read a ton of books, I do read a bunch of comics and graphic novels. I've read more of those in the past year than I have in my entire life.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has spent a ton of time reading while stuck at home either.

The Rockford Public Library has been supplying many of us from young to old an opportunity to stay sharp. Whether it be fiction or non-fiction I think we should always have a book going.

So when the library closed to slow the spread of the coronavirus, many of us were left wondering where we'd go to get our read on. Well, it looks like the Rockford Public Library is going to reopen and it's going to happen real soon.

A save the date message posted on the Rockford Public Library Facebook says they will reopen on Monday, February 1.

The post did mention a few changes they will be implementing once open:

  • No more than 25 customers will be allowed in any RPL location at any one time.
  • Materials placed on hold can be retrieved from designated areas inside locations.

The library also said the Rockton Centre Branch will remain curbside pickup only.
