Rockford Police Investigating Hit-and-Run that Killed a 66-Year-Old Woman

Rockford Police are continuing to investigate a fatal hit-and-run that happened early in the morning on one of Rockford's busiest streets.

According to a press release from the Rockford Police Department, officers were dispatched around 1:30 am to the 4900 block of East State Street where they discovered a woman lying in the road.

A vehicle-vs-pedestrian hit-and-run happened leaving a 66-year-old female pronounced deceased on the scene.
