There's a program for getting milk to families with children under 18 and seniors. This week, crates usually filled with milk arrived empty. Let's fill it.

Rock River Valley Pantry serves families, veterans, the handicapped, the homeless, those with mental illness, and single head of households. 6,800 households a month including working class poor, which is one-third of our community. The Pantry operates solely because of its volunteers and donations. They receive no government assistance, and yet 94 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to their client services.

The milk program for kids and seniors costs Rock River Valley Pantry $15,000 annually. according to WTVO. Unfortunately, funds for that specific program have run drive and the milk crates arrived unfilled this week. This is where the community comes in with a small individual donation that will go a long way. Got $5?

The Rock River Valley Pantry says it takes just $5 to provide milk for four families. (WTVO)

Click here to donate so that families in need of nutritional milk will receive it.
